The Poster Speaks for Itself:
The design of a research presentation poster
One of the first and most available tool for researchers to present their research, is the academic poster as part of an exhibition of posters at conferences. Most exhibitors present posters they have designed themselves, with no understanding of critical design issues, first and foremost, designing the text in order to be accessible, inviting, bright and readable to the viewer, passing by the poster. The purpose of the workshop is to provide researchers and postgraduate students with design tools and a better understanding of editing and designing an academic poster.
The workshop is intended for academics who present academic posters at conferences and seek to improve the layout and execution capabilities of their display, for salient, demonstration, reading accessibility, and the enhancing of interest purposes. Basic design principles will be presented with reference to the poster, the organization of the text, color and more.
